Halloween is creeping up! Let the ghoul times roll with this year’s local spell binding events including golf, haunted houses, and corn mazes. Park your brooms at the door and join in on the fun!
Halloween Tombstone Golf Tournament: GlenLakes presents a ghostly golf tournament October 30th with tee times between 9:30-11 a.m. The cost is $13.95 plus an additional $5 for prizes. Dig in to hot dogs on the grill at hole 1, bloody marys at hole 11, and frozen banana treats at hole 16. Prizes will be given for best-decorated tombstone and last tombstone standing!
Haunted House Fall Festival: The Hernando Museum has been certified as “haunted” countless times. On October 23rd, 24th, and 30th you can spend the evening at one of the oldest restored homes in the Hernando County area, a beautiful Victorian mansion filled with energies of a bygone era. The event will take place from 7-11 p.m. and includes a haunted house, palm reading, marshmallow roasting, and a children’s maze.
Wild and Wicked Nights: Weeki Wachee Springs State Park presents their annual Halloween festival, October 23rd-24th from 7-11 p.m. Activities include Halloween Tails from the mermaid show, Once Upon a Time stage show, Terror in the Woods, and a costume contest. Admission is $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for kids ages 6-12. Children five and under are free.
Fall Corn Maze: Sweetfeilds Farm is continuing their traditional fall corn maze October 24th – 26th, 31st, and November 1st from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event includes a uniquely designed corn maze, hayride, food, picnic area, animals and crafts. Adult tickets are $9.50 plus tax and children 3-11 are $5.00 plus tax. Children under two years old are free. While you are there find the perfect pumpkin in the patch!
Halloween Harvest Festival: The 21st annual Halloween Harvest Festival will be from 6 to 10 p.m. October 23rd and 24th at the Hernando County Fairgrounds. The event includes a haunted house, games, food and a pet parade. Contests include costume, pumpkin baked goods, biggest pumpkin and the ugliest pumpkin. Admission and parking are free.
